Day 2 - First full day in Kona

Waking up in Kona is beautiful.  The home we are renting is called Hale Honu.  There are four bedrooms, each of which has its own balcony overlooking the ocean.  Here is the morning view from our room.

It is a calm morning before the children awake...  Here is the view from the main living area.

Then, the boys begin stirring...
Liam and Garrett enjoyed breakfast with a view.
Once all the cousins arise, they make a beeline for their Nintendo DS.  Did parents actually have to speak to their children before video games?
The cousins (Sean, Garrett, Owen and Liam).
Once everyone was fed and cleaned, they went to the beach right down the street.  Unfortunately, there are no pictures because everyone was swimming.  But the beach is like an acquarium.  John and Rex stayed behind to work on the virus infecting one of the computers; the beer made it tolerable.

After swimming, the boys played in the sand pit at the base of the house.  It is a big hit.  The house sits on the coast, on volcanic rock.  So, John, Rex and some of the boys began exploring.

The boys also discovered the sand pit at the base of the house:

After a wonderful first day of sun and fun, June cooked a great meal of chicken parm.
Nice family dinner

We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and evening of relaxation.
